Governance
A College of Teachers takes responsibility for the overall well
being of the school but focuses on pedagogical aspects. Apart from
a weekly meeting to study, share and discuss business together
Saturday training sessions are organized regularly and participation
in Provincial and National teacher’s meetings supported. The
teachers commit to ongoing training to deepen their understanding
and skills.
The Primary School faculty and High School faculty gather weekly
to discuss practical arrangements and address any issues related to
their particular faculty. In any disciplinary matters the school
follows the procedures as set out by ISASA.
A Management Committee, comprised of teacher representatives,
bursar and members of the community, supports the day to day
financial, administrative and practical running of the school.
A Hostel Committee takes responsibility for the smooth
functioning of the hostel.
The Board of Directors compiled of teachers, parents and members of
the community guard the legal, financial and structural framework of
the school. They call an Annual General Meeting to which all parents
are invited.
Parents
Regular parents evenings are organized by each faculty either at
the school or in the various communities. On such evenings besides
bringing aspects of Waldorf Education, the teachers bring relevant
issues and listen to the questions, concerns and suggestions of
parents.
Parents are encouraged to participate in the education of their
children and to be practically involved in smaller local fundraising
events.
At the end of each term, a festival is offered to which all parents
are invited.
The last morning of the term, all the classes share some of the work
done during the term with all the students and parents.
