We are slowly but surely creating a permanent open-air theatre for our productions. Long gone is the Greek theatre Olwethu built in the dam on the Kampterrein. Other acting spaces have become play areas for the juniors, or too close to the neighbours to really explore volume and passion.
The back wall of our open_air theatre will be in the form of a parabola to help with accoustics and we will have a permanent seating structure for the audience so we don't have to carry chairs in and out all the time.
The space we have selected has already been used to stage "Romeo and Juliet", "King Lear", and "I believe in Miracles" (a Christmas play).
